and after eons existing as a gas cloud, the remnant of a star much older and much larger, She was born. the nuclear furnace ignited and suddenly She was full of life, radiating it out across the rest of Her cloud. there was already someone like Her, but far too small to sustain nuclear fusion. perhaps in another life she could have been a star too.
She looked out at Her cloud, and spun all the dust and gas into pretty little rocks and denser clouds, which aggregated to form larger bodies—planets and comets, trapped in orbit around Her mass; held in by Her love. they moved wildly around Her, changing orbits, colliding into each other, shattering, fusing.
She looked out at all the planets orbiting around Her, and finally She spoke: "I will give you all My love. for as long as I am alive, My light shall shine on you, and you shall receive My warmth, and you shall take part in My magic."
one particular planet caught Her interesting, and so She told her "I will give to you My life, and together We will create more life."
"really?" the planet asked Her.
"yes, My dear. with Our love combined shall we create something never seen before," she said. "I shall watch over and protect them, and I will give you a moon to watch over them when I cannot."
"but why me?" she wondered.
"because I love you, dearest earth," the Sun answered. "and I shall love you for eternity."
